Her hometown is in Cebu and she has worked in Singapore for years before migrating to Auckland, New Zealand with her family. She is happily married to her husband, Rockel and now has two beautiful girls, Rheena and Ria. She enjoys the everyday adventures of being a mother and embraces parenthood with a big tight hug.

A Mother's Day Special | Mom for the Day: Jo Ann Hecita

Two days left before we celebrate Mother's Day. Have you already thought what to do or give to your mother this Sunday? Well, no need for expensive gifts we believe. Just remember, whatever you give her, the most important thing is showing your most sincere love and appreciation to her. That is what could touch your mother's heart (and bring her to tears).

Moving on, our Mom for the Day is from Silay City and a registered nurse working in Saudi Arabia. Everybody, put your hands together for our supermom, Jo Ann Hecita. She is a hardworking mom and a dedicated mother to her 16-year old son, Paul. She has been the breadwinner of the family since her husband passed away due to cancer few years back. She is a strong woman willing to sacrifice and endure hardship for her and her son's future.

Let's give a shout out to our supermom, Jo Ann, and to all the moms all over the world for their sacrificial love.

And now for our featured Mom for the day, we introduce to you our supermom...

Ma. Cristina Aujero, together in the photo is her beautiful daughter, Niña. Tina had her fair share of ups and downs in life but that did not hinder her from becoming a strong, loving and caring mother. Her trials she had gone through became her triumphs, her pain became her gain, her "cannots" became her "can dos", and what seemed to be a dead end for her became a turning point in her life when she encountered God. Her life was changed as she came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Our supermom has a passion for swimming; an athlete and was a part of the swimming team back in high school. Today, she enjoys teaching swimming to her daughter making it as their bonding time as well.

A Mother's Day Special | Mom for the Day: Guia Mae Valderrama

An amazing fact about motherhood:

In English she's mom; in Mandarin Chinese, mama. To Spanish kids, she's mama too, though with slightly different accents on the syllables. "Mom" is translated as mamma in Iceland, ma in punjabi, em in Hebrew and me in Vietnamese. Noticing a trend? No coincidence — one of the first word-like sounds babies typically vocalize is a "ma" sound, and almost every language across the globe has taken that baby talk as the basis for the word for mother. Our MOM for the day is Guia Mae Valderrama. This photo was taken during her pregnancy as she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Gavin last September 15, 2015. She is a registered nurse and had worked in Singapore for four years before migrating to the US in 2013. Guia and her husband, Emil, also a registered nurse, are currently living in Los Angeles, California. She took a break from the medical industry and chose to go full-time with motherhood. It is a wise choice and a good move for her so she can spend more time in nurturing her precious little one. She finds motherhood both rewarding and challenging and she is excited and ready to go through the process of parenthood in many more years to come.
